Privacy policy

Sail Away is operated by Aviad Lavi, Israel. Contact: aviad198@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • No account, no sign-up. You can search, filter and compare without giving us anything. Your search and filter choices live in the page URL, not in a profile.
  • Outbound click logs. When you click a booking button we record which sailing and which button, plus the referring page, your browser’s user-agent string and the time. We do not store your IP address and we do not set an identifying cookie for this.
  • Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

Sail Away itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. When you follow a booking link, the partner’s site sets its own cookie so it can attribute a booking to us and pay a commission. That cookie is governed by that partner’s privacy policy, and is what the affiliate disclosure describes.

Pages also load a script from Travelpayouts, our affiliate network, which verifies the site and may set its own cookies to attribute bookings. It is governed by Travelpayouts’ privacy policy.

Who we share it with

Our hosting provider, our database provider (Supabase) and our analytics provider (PostHog) process the data above on our behalf. We do not sell personal data. AI search queries you type are sent to Google (Gemini) to be parsed into filters; do not type anything sensitive into the search box.

Your rights

If you are in the UK, EU or a similar jurisdiction you can ask us for a copy of any data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing aviad198@gmail.com. Because we deliberately avoid storing identifiers, we usually hold nothing that can be linked back to you.
